What is Call Of Duty: World at War

The Call of Duty: World at War patch 1.4 adds new content and modifies existing gameplay mechanics to version below version 1.4 of World at War. Console players are kept up to date automatically by their console's automatic game update tools, but it is suggested to PC players to review what the patch offers before deciding to upgrade their version of World at War.

New Content

With patch 1.4 brings three new multiplayer maps: Kneedeep, Nightfire, and Station. Each offer wildly different environments to keep players coming back for more. Explore the jungles of Kneedeep and the dense, chaotic buildings in the streets of Nightfire. When players are done trying out those three multiplayer maps, they'll be likely to try out the new Nazi Zombies map, Verr?ckt. Verr?ckt adds new Nazi Zombies Perks-a-Cola machines and lets players use the map against the zombies with electroshock defenses!

Modifications

Players won't find themselves spawning near the enemy anymore with the improved spawning logic. Auto balancing functionality was also modified in order not to interrupt players while completing objectives for their team. Players will no longer be able to freely kill teammates in Hardcore Search & Destroy; instead, they will now be penalized 200 points for team killing the bomb planter/defuser. The infamous glitch that allowed players to equip a Bouncing Betty and team kill without any form of penalty was finally fixed in patch 1.4.
